Wednesday Medley ~

Found another fun meme to partake in. Head on over to Your Friend From Florida..... for other participants. Here is a medley of questions you may choose to answer on your Wednesday blog. There aren't any rules and there is no obligation. Link up if you want to. I'm doing this to fill my Wednesday and if you are interested, then I invite you to join in!! It might be fun!!

There are some pretty serious issues on the National Day Calendar this week. You can read about them here

NATIONAL MAKING LIFE BEAUTIFUL DAY

1. Tell us about a time you made someone's life beautiful or someone made YOUR life beautiful. I like to do/make things for others to make them feel special/beautiful/pretty all the time... so not many stand out for me to recall

NATIONAL SMILE POWER DAY

2. Will you take on the challenge and smile more often on June 15th? Why not start now!! Have you been blessed by a smile that changed your day? I will certainly try!

NATIONAL RANDOM ACTS OF LIGHT DAY

3. Terri is a cancer survivor. Cancer has touched most of us in one way or another. When did someone reach out to you with an act of kindness or when did you last perform a random act of kindness for someone? Someone randomly paid for my order in the drivethru the other day

NATIONAL LOVING DAY

4. Terri admits that this turned out to be not what she thought it would be. Our country has come a long way in recognizing that people are people and our differences are what makes life beautiful, but we still have a long way to go, unfortunately. Your thoughts? I say marry who you want

NATIONAL KITCHEN KLUTZES OF AMERICA DAY

5. Had to lighten it up a bit. Terri is a total klutz in the kitchen. Tell us about something klutzy that happened in your kitchen... by you or another! Can you laugh about it now? Hmmm.... probably the time I went to add in a little salt to a dish I was making, and not realizing that someone hadn't put the top on tight and into the dish it went... top and salt.... ugh...take out it was for dinner that night!

6. Share something about your week so far, if you would. The hubs and I picked up some weights, and are back at the church's gym. Its nice to have other equipment to use than the few random items we have at home. Other than that, not much else going on.

Tuesday 4 Meme ~ What Would You Do?

You can see what others post and link up over on Tuesday 4 Meme.

A little different for this week's Tuesday 4 Meme. Please copy and paste the questions to your blog and leave a comment for me to visit. As always there will only be 4 questions to answer and posted on Monday mornings at 7:00 AM EST for you.

Only necessary rule is to link back to this site, thanks. 😊

What Would You Do?

1. Coming home from a night out you notice your garage door opened. What Would You Do? Make my hubs go investigate

2. Getting ready to shop at the supermarket you realize you left your keys in the car. What Would You Do? Call one of the boys to go to the house and get the extra set of keys and bring it to me...

3. Coming home from work tired you forgot you have guests coming for dinner and nothing to serve them. What Would You Do? Put in an order to Olive Garden to Go

4. Your daughter calls you at work and says she missed the school bus and you have no car. What Would You Do? I would say, I am sorry but I think you have the wrong number. ........................ I have boys... but seriously...if it were my boys, I would have to say, sorry bud you will just have to miss school I have no way to come pick you up and bring you.

Saturday 9 ~ It's Late

You can see the others that participate in this fun meme at
Saturday 9.

It's Late

Welcome to Saturday: 9. What we've committed to our readers is that we will post 9 questions every Saturday. Sometimes the post will have a theme, and at other times the questions will be totally unrelated. Those weeks we do "random questions," so-to-speak. We encourage you to visit other participants posts and leave a comment. Because we don't have any rules, it is your choice. We hate rules. We love memes, however, and here is today's meme!

It's Late (1959)

Unfamiliar with this week's song. Hear it here.

1) Ricky Nelson laments that he should have been home hours ago. When is the last time you stayed up later than you should have? a few weeks ago What were you doing? the hubs and I were watching movies

2) Compounding Ricky's problem is that he's nearly out of gas. How is your gas tank right now? its sitting at a 1/4 of a tank When did you most recently fill 'er up? well with this being a new truck.. I have yet to actually fill it up.... but with the Mariner (before I traded it in... I filled it up 2.5 weeks ago

3) It gets worse! He can't call home because he doesn't have a dime for the pay phone. Have you recently been in a situation where you've been glad you had your cell phone handy? I haven't been in any situations

4) The video for this song is from an episode of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. Ozzie Nelson, Ricky's father, was in charge of the show and made the rules. One was that no one was allowed to smoke on the set ... except his wife, Harriet. Do you smoke? I don't Have you ever lived with a smoker? my dad smoked

5) Life magazine coined the phrase "teen idol" to describe Ricky's popularity. According to Tiger Beat, today's teen idols include Johnny Orlando and Ruby Jay. Johnny was born in 2003, Ruby in 2004. Sam admits that before today, she had no idea who these young people are. How about you? I have no clue as to who they are

6) While Paul McCartney and Bob Dylan have posthumously praised Ricky Nelson's music, 1950s music critics dismissed him as a lightweight. What's the last review you read? on the Tacoma Was it written by a professional critic, or was it contributed by a consumer to a site like Amazon or Yelp? reviews by others who have bought this truck

7) At the height of his popularity, Ricky tried his hand at movies, appearing in the western Rio Bravo with John Wayne. He turned 18 during the filming, and Wayne celebrated by playfully throwing Ricky into a sack of horse manure. Do you think pranks and practical jokes are funny? as long as they don't cause anyone any harm, then they are funny

8) In 1959, when this song was popular, the St. Lawrence Seaway was completed. It connects Canada to our Great Lakes. Without looking it up, can you name all 5 Great Lakes? well I sure hope so... with me being a Michigander.... Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, Lake Superior, Lake Ontario and Lake Eerie

9) Random question – You drive past a local motel and see the car of a very married friend right there in the lot. Would you ask her about it? I might...
