For Today... May 18th, 2015

Outside my window... The sunrise peeking through the trees. And the need for me to get out there with the weed whacker and tackle those weeds!!

I am thinking... that I just don't get people who have to attack you when you voice your own feelings over things. Everyone has their own opinions on certain topics (controversial ones), I generally don't get into debates as I am usually the one in the "wrong". Its ok for everyone else to state their opinion on things, but when I put in my two cents I get attacked. I should have known better than to post a statement on my blog (that said post has now been made private). But I digress, I will refrain from now on, on certain subjects!

I am thankful... for my handy man hubby!

I am wearing... as of right now, blue shorts and an old tank top, as I will be painting in a little bit

I am creating... same crochet projects, and fun things for my craft room!

I am going... to try and find a decent patio table that won't break the budget.

I am wondering... who the winner will be for my giveway for the American Sniper DVD. I will find as soon as I am finished with this post!

I am reading... When Grace Sings by Kim Vogel Sawyer

I am hoping... for a nice weekend! Generally on the long holiday weekend it has rained in the past.

I am learning... to just take things one day at a time!

In my garden... not much is happening

In my kitchen...
Menu for the week: (I didn't make the lasagna last week, so back on the menu it goes!
Monday ~ lasagna, garlic bread and a salad
Tuesday ~ sloppy joes, potato salad and fruit
Wednesday ~ leftovers
Thursday ~ pizza
Friday ~ leftovers
Saturday ~ something on the grill, not sure what yet

A favorite quote for today...

A peek into one of my days...This is a typical day in my house, the pup lounging at the end of the chaise

One of my favorite things...the smell of fresh cut grass! After a week long of nothing but rain, we were finally able to get out and cut the grass. It was so long, and took forever to cut (even with our small yard!)

A few plans for the rest of the week:
Monday ~ laundry and housework, painting in my craft room as my hubby got my side units finished
Tuesday ~ working in my craft room
Wednesday ~ work
Thursday ~ work
Friday ~ grocery shopping, light housework, maybe some yard work if its nice outside, then girls night
Saturday ~ its the start of the long holiday weekend (Memorial Day), hoping to do things outside
Sunday ~ church, lunch, a bike ride maybe

From the board room...From my For the Home board. I want do make this, without the number on it, and have it on my back deck.

  3. I love your organization skills Jodi! But if you want to write something on your own blog- you should be allowed to do that. I wish people understood that it's okay to agree to disagree! Have a great week.

  4. I love, love, love your quote. And that is so sad about how people are with others about opinions. I have never understood why we can just all be allowed to have our own opinion. I am often on the opposite side of what others think. I tend to go for the underdogs! Hope your week is a good one
